There is something fresh about toile de jouy contrasted the stencil then erased toiles of Christopher Wool.  Rich deep reds of a classic french toile de jouy ... black, white and shades of grey set in the austere setting a modern beach retreat.

All Wrapped Up

Walking by the New York Public Library, I could not help but notice the Christo inspired construction drapery on the top of the building... with just hints of the column's capital outlined....inspired these photos of volumes of fabric, twisted and wrapped with just hints of the body's form coming through.

Primary Beach

The Ellsworth Kelly exhibition at the Matthew Mark Gallery in Chelsea ( 523 west 24th Street ) set my dreams of summer in full motion. Maybe it was the bold primary color again the sandy concrete floors.. or the giant fields of color. This summer story focuses on graphic and bold primary color......
