Silver Lining

Gold has been making a come back for quite a while now however, with a more subdued and somber attitude coming out of Europe, we think silver will shine again. Both matte and shine offer glimmers of promise......

Oh Goddess

Bottega set the stage for spring... light as air fabrics, shades of white, ethereal dresses with just a pop of red. Trendboard loves the layers of fabric.... movement is key.

Gold Mine

Hints of yellows and gold have been appearing on the runways and around the city for a while. We think grounding them in grays and black with a little shot of blue and a dusty pink is a fresh perspective on this classic for spring...

What goes around comes around

While Prada was exploring the 50's .... Lanvin was taking notes from the 40's. True, the days of designers all following a single trend or certain decade are gone... but it does appear that Dior is a big influence in many key collections this season, whether from the 40's or 50's.....

Post Depression

Reviewing the Evening Wear of the Fall 2009 collections started my brain thinking about the post depression fashions of the 30's... the return to opulence and femininity. Monte Carlo in its heyday.... shades of dusty rose, whites and golds contrasted with black.
